Addtech has about 1,500 employees in around ten countries. Most of these work in sales, an area that encompasses everything from solving technical problems to purchasing, production, logistics and distribution. Some subsidiaries manufacture their own components, subsystems and custom products under their own brands.
A technology trading company is entirely dependent on committed employees for its existence. Success as a project manager or key account manager requires technical expertise, a service-minded approach and business acumen. The subsidiaries are responsible for recruiting new employees, but there is naturally an opportunity to progress within the Group. Addtech’s training programme, Affärsskolan (Business School), is offered to all employees and is an important platform from which to convey the corporate culture, refine business acumen, and raise the level of professionalism among employees, as well as to create scope for personal and professional growth.

Kenth Köhler: Many opportunities at Addtech
Kenth Köhler is currently President of the Danish company Eltech Automation A/S. Like many other subsidiary heads, Kenth began his career as a sales rep at Eltech – a major responsibility in a decentralised organisation. In Kenth’s view, one of the advantages of being an Addtech employee is having the intimacy of a small company combined with the opportunities of a large one.

“We’re like a family, and everyone shares the attitude that if things go well for my colleague, they’ll go well for the company, which can only be positive for me as well. To put it simply, success breeds success.”

Through Addtech, small companies also gainaccess to a large network and the stability that is often lacking in small companies.
“It’s important for our customers to know that we’ll still be here tomorrow – that we’ll continue supplying what they need. By being part of Addtech, our customers and I get a sense of security that is crucial to successful, longstanding partnerships.”
